Health and Safety Statement
NetSecGroup operates as a professional services firm delivering cybersecurity services from office and home-working environments. The inherent health and safety risk profile of our activities is low, but the obligations and commitments set out in this statement apply to every engagement and every location where work is carried out on behalf of the business.
Scope
This statement applies to all personnel engaged by or on behalf of NetSecGroup, including subcontractors, and to all locations where NetSecGroup work is carried out, whether at client premises, a NetSecGroup office, or a home-working location.
Legal basis
NetSecGroup operates in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, and all other UK legislation relevant to a professional services business.
Responsibilities
The Director of NetSecGroup is the responsible person for health and safety and retains overall accountability. All personnel and subcontractors are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others affected by their work.
Risk assessment
Risk assessments are carried out for business activities including routine office work, visits to client premises, and home working. Assessments are reviewed annually or when work patterns materially change.
Operational practices
- Display Screen Equipment assessments are completed by all personnel using computer equipment for extended periods
- Home-working environments are reviewed for basic ergonomic, electrical, and fire safety considerations
- Visits to client premises follow a pre-engagement safety briefing covering site-specific risks, access procedures, and emergency arrangements
- No hazardous substances, machinery, or physically demanding work is undertaken as part of the standard service offering
Incident and accident reporting
Any accident, near miss, work-related ill health, or dangerous occurrence must be reported to [email protected] without delay. Incidents meeting the criteria for reporting under RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013) are reported to the Health and Safety Executive by the Director.
Training and competence
All personnel receive health and safety awareness induction at the start of their engagement, including DSE guidance, fire safety, and incident reporting. Role-specific training is provided where activities require it.
Subcontractors
Subcontractors engaged on NetSecGroup work are required to have their own health and safety arrangements proportionate to their activities, to operate within the scope of this statement for NetSecGroup work, and to report incidents via the same channel as direct personnel.
